Seminar: Entertaining Angels
Speaker: Andy Campbell
Description: Welcoming people into Christian church starts long before they get to our doors, and continues through our Christian life together. How can we do ‘intentional welcome’ better? The quality of relationships depends on the quality of our communication! See some great examples – and some horror stories – and make some good decisions for the year of Homecoming.

“Entertaining Angels is a 150 minute workshop on intentional welcome for congregations, hosted by Rev Andy Campbell - one of the Mission and Discipleship development team. Welcome begins long before people arrive at your church door, so we explore noticeboards, church exteriors and community communication, before tackling the Welcome Team’s encounter with incoming worshippers, regular or new. What happens during worship, and afterwards, as well as some Bible study on the encounters of Jesus in the gospel to give us a theological base is included.
When people are asked why they decided to get involved with a congregation, 82% say it has to do with the welcome they received on their first visit and which continues!
