What's this?

FedEx EnvelopeWell, no points for guessing it's a FedEx courier's envelope. We've been much more interested in the content of the envelope: it contained a booking for a storytelling tent for the National Gathering. Nothing too unusal there, other than the fact that most folks aren't sending us their bookings by special courier, marked 'extremely urgent'.

The originator's address provided the final clue. It's come from Argentina!

We're thrilled to have received a booking for a storytelling tent from so far afield. It's from the Iglesia Presbiteriana San Andrés near Buenos Aires, Argentina. They're planning on coming to the Royal Highland Centre on 3-4 May to join with thousands of other folks to play their part in telling their story amongst 499 other storytelling tents.

About Iglesia Presbiteriana San Andrés

Iglesia Presbiteriana San AndrésThe Presbiteriana Church San Andrés is an independent Christian church whose origin goes back to the arrival of Scottish colonies to Argentina at the beginning of the nineteenth century. Its theological doctrine is reformed and their organization and form of government are presbyterian. They are based in Buenos Aires and comprise churches and missions distributed in the city of Buenos Aires, the Province of Buenos Aires and Province of Entre Ríos, Argentina.

The church at San Andrés (pictured right) was built in 1896. If your Spanish is up-to-scratch then you can read more about them on Wikipedia (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iglesia_Presbiteriana_San_Andrés).

We hope that you can make a point of visiting their tent at some time over the weekend of May 3-4, 2008.
