The Tented Village
In addition to the well-known speakers, worship, prayer focus areas, kids and youth programmes, as part of the National Gathering we are creating a village of 500 tents - and we would like your church or group to be there to ‘occupy’ one of them.
Your Contribution
We’d like you to buy a tent for £300 which includes 10 free tickets (5 for Saturday, 5 for Sunday) to the National Gathering. On each day you should have some of your members ‘staff’ your tent to help in telling your church's story.
But don’t feel you can bring only five from your church or group each day. The free tickets are just a starter – for ten! Bring lots more people from your church or group! Tickets for families and individuals are also available at great value-for-money prices.
After the event you are donating your tent to an international relief project specialising in disaster relief and emergency aid.
Our Contribution
CWW will physically purchase and pitch the tent for you. After the event, we’ll take your tent down and, in partnership with Blythswood Care and Scottish International Relief, arrange for it to be shipped to an area of need around the world on your behalf.
Telling your Story
Share something of your congregation or group story - its hopes, its experiences, its vision. It’s all low tech in the tents, so bring some key people, along with a few special objects and images that will prompt the tellers and the listeners. Keep it informal and engaging as folk drop in throughout the day. Reflect and enjoy.
Feel free to share stories with neighbouring groups anytime throughout the weekend. There will also be specific times in the programme when we’ll ask you to be tellers and listeners. When you book your tent, there will be an option to tell us the theme of your story. In that way others who want to find out how to do what you’ve done will know where to come and hear all about it!
